At High Standards Grooming & Boarding, we hold ourselves to very high standards—and that means doing things a little differently than most. As a Cage Free, Force Free, and Muzzle Free salon, we've designed every part of the grooming experience with your dog's comfort and emotional well-being in mind. Dogs spend their day enjoying a supervised daycare environment instead of sitting in kennels, and we never use kennel dryers, so your pet will never be placed in a cage with a hot dryer blowing on them. To help keep the experience calm and enjoyable, we typically do baths and blow-dries in the morning and complete haircuts in the afternoon, allowing plenty of time for dogs to decompress, play, and relax in between. Every dog groomed with us enjoys complimentary daycare, and there's never any rush to pick up—we're here until 6:00 PM. Let them stay and play! We love sending home pups that are not only clean and beautiful, but happy, relaxed, and ready for a well-earned nap after a fun-filled day with friends.
Our philosophy is simple: we believe most dogs react negatively to grooming because of fear. Rather than forcing them through the process, we focus on building trust and creating positive experiences. We don't wrestle dogs into compliance, and we do not use muzzles during the grooming process—even if one is provided by an owner. By working with each dog individually and at their own pace, we help them learn that grooming can be a safe and enjoyable experience. We understand that this approach may not be the right fit for every dog, and that's okay. While our methods require patience and often take more time than traditional grooming, we believe the long-term benefits of creating trust and reducing fear are well worth the extra effort.
Conveniently located near the heart of Jonesboro at 825 S. Gee Street, we're proud to offer fast scheduling with appointments often available sooner than you might expect. We also offer early drop-off with just 24 hours' notice, making it easier to fit professional grooming into your busy schedule.
